Nate Herbig joins a Steelers offensive line that started with struggles in 2022 before improving later in the season. Herbig with the Jets finished 2022 with 707 offensive snaps, four penalties, one sack allowed, 3 QB hits, and 18 total pressures allowed.
Herbig brings depth to the offensive line and connects with Steelers assistant GM Andy Weidl going back to their Philadelphia days with the Eagles.
It’s important to note that while it’s expected, he will be a depth piece, Weidl believes he’s a starter. Herbig will be 25 years old when the season starts and will get his chance at being a starter come training camp.
