Broderick Jones has been a popular name for months when it comes to the Steelers needs and their pick at 17. It could be a long shot that he drops that far, but crazier things have happened.
Broderick Jones is one of the top 3 OTs in the 2023 NFL Draft and could be off the board quickly. In 2 years as starting left tackle for the back-to-back champions, the Georgia Bulldogs, he’s only allowed 2 QB hits and 2 sacks in over 1200 snaps.
Steelers are focused on improving the offensive line and Jones would be a home run pick in the 1st round. It might even require a small trade up.
Bryan Bresee has been another popular name and defensive line is a dark horse pick in the 1st round.
Injuries has hurt his college production and potential draft stock.
Stats don’t fly off the screen with Bresee, but he has great size and explosiveness that the defensive line could use.
Bresee is someone the Steelers have met with multiple times. Steelers like to do their due diligence and keep all options on the table and if they stay at 17, defensive line is a position they could fall back on.
Both Broderick Jones and Bryan Bresee are first round talents.
