The Steelers are scheduling a visit with former team edge rusher Bud Dupree per Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.
Potential reunion: #Steelers are bringing free-agent pass rusher Bud Dupree in for a visit, per sources.

Bud Dupree became a free agent after suffering a torn ACL in 2020, signing with the Tennessee Titans for the 2021 season. Dupree would not return to his previous level of performance since leaving Pittsburgh, only managing seven sacks and 27 solo tackles with the Titans.
It’s no secret that the Steelers believe in edge rusher Alex Highsmith who is coming off his best career season yet, getting an overall grade of 78 in 2022, recording 15 sacks. Unless an unexpected trade is in the cards, a Bud Dupree reunion is to get their third edge rusher which the team likes to run.
Considering Dupree is coming in for a visit, you can suggest he’s on board with the idea, and considering his injury history, it might work out for all parties.
