Steelers bolster offensive line signing guard Isaac Seumalo to three-year deal

The Pittsburgh Steelers have made a significant move in the off-season by signing guard Isaac Seumalo to their roster. Seumalo is signing with the Steelers on a three-year $24M deal originally reported by Jordan Schultz of The Score.

Seumalo was previously a member of the Philadelphia Eagles, where he spent seven seasons, and he has proven to be a reliable and versatile player on the offensive line.

The Eagles drafted Seumalo in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft, and he quickly established himself as a valuable team member. Seumalo finished 2022 allowing one sack, six penalties, three hits, and 20 total allowed pressures.

The Steelers needed help on their offensive line after some struggles in 2022, and Seumalo was a perfect fit for their needs. He is a versatile player who can play guard positions and has experience playing center. This flexibility will be precious for the Steelers who could use an upgrade at the guard position.

Seumalo’s signing is also a testament to the Steelers commitment to improving their team through the off-season. They have proactively addressed their needs, and the addition of Seumalo is another example of their dedication to building a winning team.

Overall, the signing of Isaac Seumalo is a positive move for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is a proven player who will bring experience, versatility, and depth to the team’s offensive line. With Seumalo on their roster, the Steelers are well-positioned to compete for a playoff spot in the upcoming season.
