Steelers are signing veteran CB Patrick Peterson to a 2-year deal

The Steelers are signing former Vikings cornerback and 8 time Pro Bowler Patrick Peterson to a 2-year deal, per Ian Rapoport, late Monday afternoon. Tom Pelissero from the NFL Network reports the deal is worth $14 million with $5.85M guaranteed.

Peterson brings a veteran presence to a Steelers roster that will undoubtedly feature if not one rookie but a few young players. In 2022 Peterson had five interceptions, 60 solo tackles, 16 stops, and a passer rating allowed of 66.8.

This news comes after the team lost one of their corners Cam Sutton, who signed a 3-year deal with the Detroit Lions.
