Steelers are cutting LB Myles Jack to create cap space

Adam Schefter is reporting that the Steelers are, as expected, cutting linebacker Myles Jack to free up $8M in cap space. This news comes right after it was announced they would be signing former Miami Dolphins linebacker Elandon Roberts.

In 2022 Myles Jack finished with an overall PFF grade of 53.6 and a run defense grade of 52.1. In comparison, Roberts scored an overall of 57.1 and a run defense grade of 68.5. Roberts scored five sacks, while Jack recorded no sacks.

This moves points to the Steelers freeing up cap space to sign their latest additions, addressing their pass rush, and run defense.
