Steelers Use Their 2023 Draft to Put Their Rivals on Notice.
Prepare yourselves, Steeler Nation, a new era of dominance could be upon us.
Now that the 2023 NFL draft has concluded with what could be one of the best draft classes in Steeler history, this team has sent a message to their competitors: We are ready.
Every selection from beginning to end has solidified that the Steelers are returning to their roots with pure ground-and-pound offense and old-school defense. Omar Khan and the company have taken what was already an impressive offseason and have now elevated it to a much higher level.

I am excited to see what this offense can produce, especially with the addition of Broderick Jones in the first round. The offensive line has been a theme this entire offseason, and with a future, a guaranteed starter at left tackle, watch the entire offensive operation open up. Kenny Pickett now has a consistent bully at his blindside, giving him peace of mind and time to throw the ball all over the field.
Speaking of passing, how about the Steelers somehow getting Darnell Washington in the third round? A massive athletic monster to pair with an already skilled and efficient tight-end group consisting of a future star in Pat Freiermuth, a budding younger brother in Connor Heyward, and a very under-appreciated Zach Gentry. I am intrigued to see how Pittsburgh plans to scheme the offense this year. The 2023 season is going to be explosive.
Let me also mention the addition of Spencer Anderson. Another Steeler classic of a late-round gem that has experience all over the offensive line that will add to an already deep offensive line group.

Now on the defensive side of the ball. Joey Porter Jr. That is all I need to say. They have their future starting corner for years to come. Nick Herbig and Keanu Benton are maulers that will eventually become quality players in the near future. Cory Trice Jr. is also a good selection for the Steelers to build for this secondary.
The Steelers have worked hard this season to completely change their roster to prepare for a deep playoff run. Many last years counted the Steelers out as being a serious contender. Well, folks, the shot across the bow has been fired. They have the players and the drive to get number seven. Do not be surprised if the 2023 Pittsburgh Steelers shock the NFL. I know I won’t be for sure. Look out, AFC North!
